dc.description.abstractThree new snakes of the genus Lycophidion Fizinger, 1843 (Squamata : Lamprophiidae) in Central Africa. Two new species and one subspecies of the genus Lycophidion are described from Central Africa in the species group L. capense (Smith, 1831). Lycophidion tchadensis sp. nov. is described from Sahelian and Sudano-Sahelian areas of eastern Chad and northeastern Central African Republic, L. chirioi sp. nov. is described from wet savanna areas of the Central African Republic and L. jacksoni occidentale ssp. nov. is described from Adamawa mountains in Cameroon and several areas of the Central African Republic.
