E-santé et suivi médical des personnes âgées au Bénin

Abstract

Benin, like the majority of African countries, has an insufficient number of physicians. Also with the low economic capacity of the population, having a family doctor is a scarce thing. Illnesses such as hypertension and diabetes are rampant, while these diseases require rigorous monitoring. As most hospitals do not have an information system that can track the health information of patients throughout their lives, through this article we propose a model of a remote medical monitoring system that will allow the implementation of a medical monitoring service for the elderly. This system consists in being monitored remotely through a website and a mobile application by a team of health professionals made up of a doctor and a paramedic. The paramedic is therefore responsible for taking the vital signs so that the doctor can interpret them remotely and give a diagnosis or advice if necessary. This study does not take into account the analysis of the economic model to be set up to make the proposed service accessible to all grants.

Le Bénin à l’image de la majorité des pays africain dispose d’un nombre insuffisant de médecin. De même avec les faible pouvoir d’achat des populations, avoir un médecin de familles est une chose rare. Les maladies comme l’hypertension artériel et le diabète sévissent alors que ses maladies nécessitent un suivi rigoureux. Les hôpitaux ne disposant pas pour la majorité d’un système d’information permettant de retracer l’information sur la santé des patients au cours de leurs vies, à travers cet article, nousproposons un modèle de système de télésurveillance médicale qui permettra la mise en place d’un service de suivi médicale pour personne âgées. Ce système consiste à se faire suivre à distance grâce à un site web et une application mobile par une équipe deprofessionnel de la santé constitué d’un médecin et d’un par un paramédicale. Le paramédicale est donc chargé de la prise des constances afin que le médecin puisse les interpréter à distance et prononcer un diagnostic ou conseil a besoin. Cette étude ne prend pas en compte l’analyse du modèle économique à mettre en place pour rendre le service proposé accessible à toutes les bourses
