| dc.description | This text discusses how, over the past two decades, Africa has transformed from being viewed mainly through the lens of aid and risk into one of the world’s most dynamic investment frontiers. The article presents a multidimensional analysis of Africa’s emerging markets, focusing on the relationship between institutional quality, infrastructure development, and financial behavior. It proposes a three-level framework: Institutional foundations for stability and predictability. Physical connectivity through infrastructure as a key driver of trade competitiveness. Technological and human catalysts shaping modern financial behavior. The study finds that peace and inclusive institutions are essential for sustainable growth, while strong infrastructure supports global integration and competitiveness. Financial literacy and investor psychology also influence market participation and volatility, especially in the digital trading era. Overall, it emphasizes the need for integrated policies combining governance, infrastructure, and education to promote Africa’s long-term economic development. | |
| dc.description.abstract | In die afgelope twee dekades het Afrika van ’n kontinent wat hoofsaaklik deur die lens van hulp en risiko beskou is, ontwikkel tot een van die mees dinamiese beleggingsgrense in die wêreld. Hierdie artikel bied ’n multidimensionele analise van Afrika se opkomende markte, met die klem op die interaksie tussen institusionele kwaliteit, infrastruktuurontwikkeling en gedragsfinansiële dinamika. Deur ’n sistematiese literatuuroorsig, stel die studie ’n drievlak-raamwerk voor: (1) institusionele fondamente as basis vir stabiliteit en voorspelbaarheid; (2) fisiese konnektiwiteit deur logistieke infrastruktuur as hoofdrywer van handelsmededingendheid; en (3) tegnologiese en menslike katalisators wat moderne finansiële gedrag vorm. Die bewyse dui daarop dat vrede en institusionele inklusiwiteit noodsaaklike voorwaardes vir volhoubare groei is, terwyl logistieke infrastruktuur globale integrasie en mededingendheid vergemaklik. Verder het finansiële geletterdheid en beleggersielkunde ’n beduidende invloed op markdeelname en wisselvalligheid in die konteks van digitale en algoritmiese handel. Die bevindings beklemtoon die noodsaaklikheid van holistiese beleidsstrategieë wat bestuur, infrastruktuur en onderwys integreer om Afrika se langtermyn-ekonomiese ontwikkeling te ondersteun. | |
