The Mediterranean, one of the world's major migration areas

Abstract

The Mediterranean migratory space is divided into three distinct regions: the African Mediterranean, the Asian Mediterranean and the European Mediterranean. The three directions of intercontinental migration in the Mediterranean are then highlighted: Mediterranean inter-Arab migration, Mediterranean Africa-Europe migration and Mediterranean Asia-Europe migration. Finally, we see the rise of a triple migratory nature and a migratory system driven by "new migratory logics".
