dc.description.abstractStarting from the controversy over the possible beatification of Baudouin, former king of the Belgians, by the Vatican, the article shows that it was under the reign of this monarch that the Belgian colonial administration perpetrated the first genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda from 1 November 1959.
