| dc.description.abstract | Using remote sensing we are able to map the potentiality of soils to infiltration and runoff in West Africa. The methodology (Lamachère et Puech, 1995) uses ground data and a two steps image processing ; the first giving primary maps of vegetation, soils and land cover ; the second caracterising each pixel in elementary surface features. Using a GIS also permits to define homogeneous hydrological units. | |
